What i eat in a week: back on track edition

Donderdag 3 januari:
Ontbijt:
dankzij Juice Junkies ligt m’n diepvries vol heerlijke zakjes smoothies.

English version:

After the Holidays my body was screaming for a normal food routine. And with normal i mean just a lot (a lot lot) less sugar and fatty foods as my body isn’t doing so well on those. Which resulted on January 1 in a horrible stomach ache and nothing motivates more than that to get back on track the next day and hitting the gym again. I thought, lets track what i eat in this week and maybe you guys would like to know aswell, what i, besides what i post online, eat in a week.

Wednesday 2 january:
Breakfast:

I start with taking my vitamines (multivitamine, fishoil and vitamine D). Because my belly wasn’t that happy last nigh i decide to apologize with a glass Detox Juice (carrot, ginger, selery, lemon and honey)
…which was also a perfect way to clean out my veggie drawer. I also drink 2 big cups Oolong tea.
Lunch: after my workout i make a delicious salad with spinach, smoked salmon, a half avocado, pinetree nuts, cheese and a honey mustard dressing.
Snacks: during my workout i drink a bottle of water (750 ml) and the rest of the day i drink tea (caramel tea). I also have 2 small slices swiss cheese (emmentaler) and handfull of raisins.
Dinner: Because i skipped Meatless Monday this week i decide to have Meatless Wednesday instead and make roasted eggplant with baharat spices in the oven and couscous with ras el hanout spices, raisins, almonds, spinach and a sauce of quark, sriracha & honey.

Thursday 3 january:
Breakfast:
Thanks to Juice Junkies my freezer is filled with delicious bags of smoothies. Today i go for the Green Machine (brocoli, spinach, selery, banana, pineapple) i add some soy milk and honey. And again i have two big cups of Oolong tea and ofcourse i take my vitamines.
Lunch: yum…i was so looking forward to this. A bagel, on one half creamcheese, avocado, smoked salmon and wasabi furikake and the other half pineapple creamcheese.
Snack: another bottle of water (750 ml) during my workout and green tea for the rest of the day. I take a small hand spicy nuts/beans mix and hand of raisins.
Dinner: tonight there’s turkey filet, 80 grams of rice and eggplant in sticky ketjap sauce on the menu.

Friday 4 january:
Breakfast:
yum…i start with a Matcha creamcheese (healthy version) (click here for the recipe) and drink two big cups of Oolong tea and a glass of water with vitamines.
Lunch: i made a grilled cheese with two slices multigrain bread and cheese.
Snack: no real snacks today, except ofcourse a bottle of water and autumn tea.
Dinner: fishy friday, so i make Pangasius filet with a hasselback potato (with grated cheese and herb butter) and raw spinach.

Saturday 5 january:
Breakfast:
besides the ussual Oolong tea and vitamines i made a healthier version of a bananasplit (1 banana, quark, nutmix and peanutbutter)
Lunch: 1 toast bun with 1 half with cheese and the other half with pineapple creamcheese.
Snack: i have been invited to a New Year’s celebration and take more snacks than planned, like a handfull of salty snacks, 4 candy pieces, a small slice of cake, 2 dates, 2 glasses juice and at home i drink a few more cups of tea.
Dinner: i also have dinner from the buffet which is a small scoop of fried rice, salad, one piece of bread with herb butter, potato salad, a small piece of puff pastry pie and a little bit of shrimp crisps.

Sunday 6 january:
Breakfast:
yum…i’m making my favorite pancakes, pumpkin pancakes, from the new book of Helmi Smeulders which i will write a review about soon. And yes, another Oolong tea and vitamines.
Snacks: yep, no lunch as i’m still full of breakfast but i make some delicious Caramel Seasalt bites (click here for the recipe) and having 2 hand of tropical nut/fruit mix at night.
Dinner: and i decided to make a few more delicious recipes of Helmo and make the coconut crushed chicken fingers with mango honey sauce and sweet potato with a tahini coriander sauce.

Monday 7 january:
Breakfast:
yep the ussual Oolong tea and vitamines and a nice bowl of oats with cacoa, banana, and coconut pieces.
Lunch: 1 toast bun, one half with a tiny bit of truffle mayo, lettuce, cheese and tomato and the other half with pineapple creamcheese.
Tussendoor: feeling a little bit like a lot of snacking, so besides a bottle of water and tea, i also have 4 hands of tropical nuts/fruitmix, 4 dates, 15 gram Duo Penotti caramel and a few liquorice mentos and oh half a bottle Aloe Vera drank.
Dinner: Meatless monday, so i made a salad with lettuce, quinoa, pumpkin, feta, cranberries and use the rest of the tahini coriander sauce.

Tuesday 8 january:
Breakfast:
and because the weather outside is gray and boring, we just pretend it’s summer with a Tropical twist Smoothie of Juice Junkies (lees mijn review hier) and yes, again Oolong tea and vitamines.
Lunch: 1 bagel, half with creamcheese and boiled egg and the other half…yep you guessed it, pineapple creamcheese, but that was the last bit of the package ;)!
Snack: tea, waterbottle, 2 small pieces of white chocolade i found in my fridge and two dates.
Dinner: i made a Mexican bowl with chicken, bellpepper, avocado, tomato salsa (for the recipe click here)!

Oh and the result of a week back on track: -1,4 kg but even more important, no more bloated belly or stomach aches…just a little “i want sugar” headache every once in a while…but that was to be expected after all those christmas cookies, chocolate, candy, big dinners and desserts.
