Boobblog part 3, surgery & the aftermath

Fingers crossed….

English version:

For those who missedĀ Boobblog part 1 orĀ Boobblog part 2Ā or don’t follow me on Instagram, i did a boobjob. And nope, not bigger but slightly smaller and a lift and as i didn’t want to waste a good anesthetic i decided to suck away my double chin aswell šŸ˜‰ !

So last Thursday it was finally D-Day…literally and figurative speaking. After hardly any sleep the night before and super nervous i stepped into the car with my parents at 6.30 in the morning on my way to the Velthuis Kliniek in Velp. We were more than in time but the clinic looked closed. So a slight panic came over me and i start checking all my mails to find out if the date and time were right, but luckily by than my consultant walked towards the parking lot. Apparently the OR is in another building. Which means being late i had to quickly sign all the paperwork (luckly i read those at home) and i was taken quickly to the dressing rooms where they handed me a operation gown and i got a locker for all my stuff. I didn’t really have time to worry as when i stepped out the dressingroom i got briefed by the guys doing the anesthetic, i got my IV and the doctor came to draw everything out on my body. And before i knew it, i was on the operation table. If i could think of something nice, i could just about think of a palmtree before i was gone…

A little over 3 hours i woke up, looked down with a smile on my face…they were still there. And not just that, they really looked good and finally back at the place they had been somewhere in my teenage years. I must have told the assistent of the recovery room over 10x how happy i was. That i also had liposuction on my chin i kinda forgot because oh what a relieve, they didn’t come out to small. I was so scared to end up with a cup A that before the operation began and the ask you multiple times (as a check) for your name, age and the operation you’re gonna have, i answered them all correct but with a disclaimer: liposuction on my chin and a breast reductionĀ but not too small!!! And luckily they came out perfect, the doctor gave me a nice D-cup. And when i went to the toilet and saw them in the mirror i was even happier, after years i could finally see my waist (without having to lift them) and i have my hourglass figure back. Walking back two sweet girls across the room also mentioned how good my figure looked now and i knew i had made the right decision. On another note, the rest of me looked absolutely ridiculious as that chin i forgot about, well that was wrapped in a weird construction which i still have to wear and which makes my parents cat not even wanna come near to me. Think Silence of the Lambs slash a fencing mask with the black part…not very charming and i’m so happy i can hide at my parents place in a town where nobody knows me.

A little more about the clinic, if you ever consider a similar operation (or other plastic surgery) i highly recommend the Velthuis Kliniek. From the intakeĀ (seeĀ Boobblog part 1) to the anesthetic, the operation and the after care, i never experienced anything like it. This is really the first time i got out of a anesthetic without feeling bad, i felt great…if i didn’t knew better i would say i didn’t had one. Not nauseous, no headache, nothing like that. And than the care of everyone at the clinic, from the consultant i could call whenever before the operation with practical questions but also about my fears, the gentlemen who performed the anesthetic, my wonderful doctor, dr. H. Tielemans who made it look great and the assistant at the recovery room who was so sweet to me and even though it was really busy made time for everybody and even gave me her charger for my phone when it was almost empty. Besides that it is a first that i got something decent to eat after an operation and they even gave you a bottle of water and muesli bar when leaving the clinic, just in case you might feel a bit light headed. Oh and i scored a really nice sports bra! But what will stick with me most is the personal care and yes, i know it’s a private clinic and maybe that’s what you pay for but it does make a difference with all the other operations i had to undergo and the feeling i know got going home. Happy, almost euphoric and full of trust that things will be okay (as the end result takes a little patience).

And than i was home…no pain and a little overwhelmed by everything i tried to rest (aka as going through my whole Instagram feed and app all my friends). I really thought i would feel like the big Coca Cola Christmas truck had ran me over, this was far from that. However sleeping was a different story… i sleep sideways and that’s not possible the first few days and sleeping on my back with a tight sports bra and tight thing around my head was far from comfortable. I must have dozed off after all but woke up feeling great. So when the clinic called to see how i was doing, i replied honestly that the pain of the legday i did on Tuesdaynight (what else to do when you are nervous, right?) was worse that that of the operation. If i had to give it a grade it must be a 3 (out of 10)…somewhere between muscle ache and irritation but pain…not really. But this is were i should have been cautious, as i hadn’t rested as required the day before after an operation like that, i did exactly the same the day after. Walked a lot, helped my dad behind the computer, walked up and down the stairs…not my smartest moves. Luckily my body made me calm down. I was so curious that night that i went to take a peek in the bathroom. The lack of sleep, being to busy and seeing your breast black & blue and full of blood wasn’t the best combination and luckily i was just in time to feel i was almost going to faint. Time to listen to my body. So now i do as little as possible…i finally read books that i had laying around, write a blog every once in a while and watch dumb movies and yep…even GTST (dutch soap).

It’s been a week later and unfortunately my chin is more an inconvenience than my breast, that thight thing around my head is really start to irritate me and when it comes to unattractiveness..well this is it, so hopefully the swelling goes down quick and maybe i can take it off before the new year. But when it comes to my breast and what i can see now (the scars are still hiding underneath band-aides which i’m not allowed to remove) they are healing well and all the black & blue bruishes are turning yellow. My nipples are still there (1 of the risks mentioned in the information leaflet is that they can die off and obviously this was my biggest fear…besides a cup A) and the shape is still nice and full. So far so good. Next week they are taking out the stitches and i’m so curious, i just hope i have the same reaction as just after the operation!Ā Fingers crossed….
